Welcome to Bellevues Glamping and Camping, a charming English run site, nestled in the rolling French countryside between Cognac and Bordeaux.
A perfect family and pet-friendly retreat in the heart of the small village of Mérignac 17210, Charente-Maritime. Nestled on a hill in one of Southwest France’s sunniest regions, our glamping and camping site offers breathtaking & uninterrupted views across the valley.
Whether you’re looking to unwind in a cozy glamping tent or pitch a tent under the stars, we promise a memorable holiday for families and their furry friends.

A private bathroom in a beautifully converted horsebox trailer.

Location
Mérignac (17210), Charente-Maritime is a peaceful village surrounded by vineyards and farmland, offering an authentic taste of rural southwest France.
Just 10 minutes from the N10 / E606 highway and 30 minutes from the A10 highway.
This an ideal holiday destination or a convenient one-night stopover when travelling north or south.
10 minutes from the market town of Montendre for all your essentials. A train station with good links to Bordeaux and La Rochelle.
Within easy reach of the Atlantic coast and an abundance of historical and UNESCO World Heritage sites, including Blaye and Talmont-sur-Gironde.
Site
Our grassy site is perched on a hilltop, offering stunning, uninterrupted views across the valley and surrounded by rolling countryside.
With no light pollution, nights are wonderfully peaceful and perfect for spectacular stargazing.
Guests can enjoy our 10 × 5 metre in-ground swimming pool, complete with sun loungers and parasols for lazy summer days.
On site facilities include:
Badminton and table tennis
A lending library with books and family games
A small pop-up shop selling cold drinks and ice creams
Around 75% of the site is pedestrian-only, creating a safe, relaxed environment for children to play and for families to unwind.
Hosts
Hello, we are Linda and Richard. We relocated from the UK to France in 2020 and quickly fell in love with this idyllic hilltop setting.
We re-opened the site in 2023 and have since built a loyal community of regular and returning guests who choose to holiday with us year after year.
We are always delighted to welcome familiar faces as well as new visitors.
